Le Thetis iGO VV NE 23 CLASS DAY WELCOME As president of the graduating class of 1948 it is my privilege and pleasure to welcome you to our Class Day exerrises. We would like to share with you, our friends, the many experiences and happy moments that have accompanied us during the past four years. We have learned many things since starting out as Freshmen, but all our knowledge has no‘, come from books alone. Through everyday contact with teachers and fellow students, we have learned the meaning of coopera- tion and sportsmanship. Speaking for my classmates as well as myself, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your help in making our edu- cation possible, and I believe that it has not been in vain. Now, we sincerely hope you will enjoy our exercises as much as we have enjoyed preparing them. STANLEY GWOZDZ. ADVICE TO THE. JUNIORS As we, the graduating class of 1948 go out into the world, and you, the prospective Seniors take our places, there are things which you should know and which we would like to pass on to you. As Seniors, you are leaders. Underclassmen look to you as an example. You can set a good example by showing co-operation, re- p , spect, and obedience. In order to have a prosperous year, you must have cooperation not only among the Seniors, but among all classes. Co-operation shoulcé also show itself in activities, for co-operation makes a team. Increased respect for teachers and fellow pupils would improve human relationships. Proper respect for school property would aid in preserving equipment, and would insure attractive grounds. A certain amount of discipline is necessary in any well-run schooi. Whether you have much or little discipline depends upon your own be- havior and obedience. If you will heed our advice we feel sure that it will benefit you in the coming year. ALINE BESSETTE JANET WEBB
