DISTINGUISHED SENIORS OF ’88 1 2 3 4 5 1 — Life is to be cherished in good times and bad. Hard work and sacrifices should never be pushed aside. Never give up on your dreams and your diligence will be the soul of good luck. Candace Howell 2 — Be careful, you who watch me. the smile on my face is deceiving. When I look in the mirror and make faces, as if for fun. the face that looks the most like myself does not have a smile. That face is hidden under th§ shadow cast by the brim on my hat. and only the tears reflect the sun as they fall on my beard ... My eternal thanks I give to the class of 1988. Patrick R. Mackey 3 — We. as seniors, leave Westover Sr. High and step into a world of opportunity and possibilities. My advice to the class of '88 and to all the upcoming graduating classes is to set your goals high and always reach for them. No one is ever going to give you anything in this world. If you want it. go for it! So I say to the class of '88. we are the future of this world and the future is up to us. Erica F. Moore 4 — I believe that it is important for everyone to have something to strive for in life. It gives a sense of being and offers you the chance to achieve something important. It doesn't matter how important or unimportant it may seem as long as you have a goal you can try to achieve. If you decide that you are going to do it then do it. It doesn't matter whether you succeed, just how much you try. Efrem R. Leach 5 — The day of our graduation will be the first day of the rest of our lives because there will be no more high school and we will have to face the real world. The last seventeen or eighteen years of your life have been spent to equip you for the real world. We must be ready and able to deal with whatever happens. So to the class of 1988. in whatever you do. have fun and live your life to the fullest. Eric W. Moore Seniors 71

DISTINGUISHED SENIORS OF ’88 Distinguished Seniors 1 — Mike Toler 2 — “If you should see someone without a smile give them one of yours. — unknown It's a fact! Everybody needs one sometime ... Smiles are friendly and easily spoken without words. Smiles make you feel special and get you back on your feet when you've fallen. But. smiles are incomplete without friends, and if I've learned anything in High School, it's Friend's Are Forever. I'd like to dedicate this paragraph to those very special people who mean the world to me and who have stuck by me through the not so smiling times. Now we must face the future and open our blind eyes; understand what we've been prepared for and remember: true friendship never dies. Best Wishes classes of 89 and 90. Peace and Good Luck Class of 88! Heidi-Ho Heidi Smith 3 — Anything worth having should be worth fighting for. So we must work to get better and fight to get stronger. To be successful in this world we must be prepared to start at the bottom and work our way to the top. I've enjoyed my three years at Westover and will always cherish them. I'd like to thank Mr. Stanton. Mr. Sakel-laris. and Mr. Freeman for having faith in me and helping me along the way. Willis Taylor 4 — First of all. I would like to express my deep gratitude to all of my teachers and the administration at Westover Senior High. The past three years have been a great learning experience for me. My philosophy is to live in the present, look to the future, and learn from the past. Also, that great philosophy from Ralph Waldo Emerson. Trust Thyself . I'd like to thank that special teacher, who taught me that philosophy. For the Student Body at Westover Senior High look to God for guidance; with your trust in him. there's nothing you can't overcome. The best of Luck to the — Class of '88. May God Bless. Nissary C.
