The football team was elated and the colors of blue and gray were everywhere for Homecoming '87. During Spirit Week the mood was lively as we dressed to show our unity. On Tuesday students showed off their favorite sweatshirt on college day. It was back to the 50’s on Wednesday. Thursday students wore their hot jams for Hawaiian day. Finally on Friday true spirit was shown on Blue and Gray day. At the pep rally enthusiasm ran high. The cheerleaders danced, the football players got siked-up. and the students screamed. The gym housed a clamorous uproar. Friday night came in with a blast when the Wolverines trampled over Cape Fear with a score of 36 to 18. At halftime the homecoming parade showcased several colorful floats. After the game students headed to the homecoming dance where the mood and music was all up tempo. Student Lite 17
