A theatrical event which all juniors and seniors who attended will remember for a lifetime took place on May 2. The occasion was the 1987 Westover prom. The theme. “On the Edge of a Dream.'' had many wondering if the experience was a dream. As senior Julie Czer-niok said. “The prom was like a night in paradise.” Spectacular decorations such as a 35 foot high balloon arch and blue and white streamers made the gym resemble an elegant ballroom. Mike Kennedy and Liz Alexander had the dance floor all to themselves after being named prom King and Queen. As the prom ended At the 1987 Prom Mike McPherson and Sus e Fejerang had their cake and ate it too. many were anticipating the next one as senior Susan Sheldon said. “I just can not wait until the next prom for a night filled with excitement. It also had Mary Owens, prom director, pondering upon how to top it for 1988. Afterwards, however, the party did not stop as party-goers moved on to Kagney's where the boys took off their jackets and the girls kicked off their shoes to dance. At curtain call, the dance floor was still crowded as the revelers danced into the wee hours of the morning. The stars sparkled when Mike Kennedy and Liz Alexander were crowned Prom King and Queen. 12 Student Life
