BAND There are 44 students tn the band under the d1rect1on and supervtsron of Mr Broten The offlcers of the band are as follows Captaxn B111 Benson and the Lxeutenants are Rtchard Sab1n Pat Couch and Judy Prmgle Last May Day at Burhngton we are qu1te proud to say we took frrst place 1n class C a marchlng umt We were compet1ng agamst seven other bands Also we competed 1n the contest held at Unron Grove and there we took second place ln class C Durmg the summer nearly all the students voted to have a summer band and II turned out to be qtute successful. It was dec1ded to have the Wrlmot and Central bands march together at the Kenosha County Fa1r s Parade For all the home football games our band marched and d1d several formatlons whlch took qulte a b1t of t1me and work As the t1me moved towards Chrxstmas we planned and worked on our annual Chrtstmas Con cert w1th the chorus Th1s event drew qu1te a crowd and proved to be qurte successful. Some of the members were chosen by Mr Broten to take part 1n the Annual Mass Band Con cert The group mcluded Jeanette Sab1n Bob Stann Pat Couch and Edd1e Ralther Then we decrded later on to have a Jomt concert wxth the Umon Grove Band wh1ch was a lot of fun Th1s year agaln we took part lfl the Annual D1str1ct Fesuval at Whttewater We closed the year s actrvmes w1th a Spr1ngConcert rn May grven together wxth the chorus CHORUS Some of the members were chosen by Mr Broten to take part rn the Annual Massed Chorus Concert whlch was held Feb 2'7atBur11ngtonH1gh School The group lncluded Loretta Elhngson Mary Ling Mavls Schmelllng, and Corlnne Styscko sopranos Sandra Sorenson Judy Prlngle Jeanette Hansen and Carole Styscko, altos Napoh and MOHFICO Lehnert B111 Zerbell and Rlchard LeMay tenors Jerry Kramer J 1m Rhodes Fred Rhodes and B111 Benson The offlcers th1s year were Judy Prlngle, Prestdent Sandra Sorenson Vrce Presrdent and Jerry Kramer, Buslness Manager At Christmas time the chorus gave a concert Therr entry was done 1n the dark w1th each member ho1d1ng candles and smgmg Oh Come All Ye Fa1thful Everyone enJoyed rt We would hke to thank Mr Broten for glvmg us help all thrs year . . 3 n I v p . . . . .
