JV FOOTBALL How a team wins shows some character, but the defeated demonstrate all their character. The junior varsity football team had several oppor- tunities, four, to display all of their character. However, considering the team consisted main- ly of freshmen. Coach Reg McShane felt the team did fairly well. The players had to adjust to me as a new head- coach along with my offensive philosophy. Our junior varsity program is essential to the suc- cess of the varsity program. It is important for these young kids to get in some playing time. The following were members of the junior var- sity football team of 1986: James Zerba, Andy Betts, Bill Hearn, John Shafer, James Hall, De- vin Hanson, Robert Muniz, John Bjorklund, Jamie Mascak, Chris Smith, Dan Morton, Mar- cus Luke, Brian Nye, Mike Butler, Bill Hansell, Kevin Scheibner, Steve Cassel, Tim Cassel.
