It was the event of the year the seniors had been waiting for. A couple activities that took place were paja- ma and unsweetened day and the all time favorite “Kanga- roo Kourt”, During the event a lot of tasty food was being prepared. Some of the dishes included smoked oysters, babyfood, sardines and alka-seltzer buttermilk. During the entire event a new activity was established by replacing the traditional talent day. It was the creation of a Rodeo Day. The sophomores participated in a rip roaring activity of calf roping, bull riding and stage coach racing. All and all, the week turned out to be a success and was enjoyed by everyone. The Class of '84 sponsored the 1983 Prom, which was held in the Weston- McEwen gym, on Saturday, April 23, 1983. Just You and I” was the theme this year. The juniors were creative and did an excellent job with decorations. The colors were blue and silver. The band, Juice”, from Kennewick, pro- vided the music. Those attending seemed to enjoy themselves. Tricia Bannister was chosen as the 1983 Prom Queen. CLASS OF 1983 Back row: Eric Swanson. John Patterson. Daran Mitchell. Jason Nash. Shaun King. With minds preoccupied with things ranging from graduation, to members of the opposite gender, to the spring fever epidemic, the class of 83 found it extremely difficult to concentrate on much else. However, they were very active and will be missed especially in sports, since the seniors made up the majority of the population in that area. They, like the classes before them, had something spe- cial to contribute to Weston-McEwen and they will be taking that Tiger-Scot pride with them where ever they go. 74 Did someone say party?
