The group had a great time touring Mexico City and Taxco. They also got to see a bullfight, the canals, pyramids and the gorgeous churches so prevalent in Mexico. Most importantly they learned a lot about the history and culture of our neighbors to the south. When they arrived back home, most of them felt like they had left a part of themselves with the families that they got to stay with during the week. 68 SHERRI GIGER NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY TOP ROW: Jeff Griggs, Mrs. McLean — advisor, Brenda Monlee, Sheila O'Harra, Scott McLean. Their theme Always and Forever was set off with a huge rainbow cov- ering one entire wall. Pale blue accompaniments were found adorning each table with a parchment scroll as a momento of the evening. The traditional event met everyone s expectations as it made an ever-lasting memory of a so- cial night for the students of the two high schools. Yvonne Smith was selected as the Prom Queen. The juniors are to be congratulated on a fine job, along with their advisors who also worked very hard in seeing that the Prom went smoothly. 70 71 Photo II: BACK ROW: James Hoptowit, Tim Harman, John Patching, Lori McMillan. The six seniors will be sorely missed next year. 75 'No, you can't mimic Upchurch.' TIGERSCOTS WIN EASTERN DIVISION This year’s baseball team only returned 4 sen- iors. At the onset of the season it looked like W-M would be in the middle of the pack, but as the season progressed so did the young TigerScots. They finished the league season with a 12-3 record and 16-4 overall. In the league playoff to determine the District Champion the TigerScots travelled to Wah- tonka only to lose to the Eagles 7-2.
