Mf l lANC (ASSIES The Highland Lassies have had a busy season this year. During the summer they went to Salem to perform for the Governer at the opening of the Oregon Arts Festival. They performed for the District and State Basketball Tournaments in Pendleton as well as marching in many parades. Pictured at top right are Pipe Major Alison Hansell and Pipe Sgt. Jeanie Rachor. Officers this year were Sara Gentry Vice-President, Sally Crofton Secretary-Treasurer, Karen Hawk President, and Alison Hansell Pipe Major. The Highland Six were busy dancing everywhere they went. The W-M chapter of FFA had a good year this year. The chapter President, Jerry Baker, became the District President. He also won a proficiency award at the State Convention in Pendleton and was selected as a State Farmer for his many FFA projects. Alison Hansell won the Co-op test at the district level and as a result went on to compete at the state level. She won a trip to Texas for winning at the state level of competition. The Parliamentary Procedure team, which competed at the district level in Pendleton, consisted of Jerry Baker, Seth Johnson, Barb Miller, Britt Johnson, Jeff O'Harra and Randy Rahn. The Officers pictured in the front row, below are: Jerry Baker, President; Randy Rahn, Sentinel; Alison Hansell, Vice-President; Barb Miller, Secretary; Jeff O'Harra, Reporter.
