Fire Destroys Athena Grade School Weston-McEwen High School The 1976 Paws and Claws The staff of this year’s Paws and Claws dedicate this annual to the memory of the Athena Grade School. The school was built in 1914. It served as both a high school and grade school up until 1949, when the present Weston-McEwen High was built. On November 7, 197S a fire, of uncertain origin, slowly consumed the school. The Athena tirade School before the fire. 4 Firemen watch as the memories go up in flames.

COUNCIL IN ACTION The Student Council has had a very busy year. On Wednesday of every other week they sponsored a Parliamentary procedure workshop for all officers of clubs. I his helped the clubs get finished with their meetings faster and have more co-operation from the members. They also went to a workshop for Student Council members in Umatilla. They discussed new money making ideas for the schools. They also discussed other problems the schools have. This year the Student Council decided to have Tiger and Scot mascots. The Tiger is Renae Miquez and the Scot is Marianne Bonifer. Kelly Cahill lectures. Very Interesting!
