Olive True, B.S., La. Tech, also registered dietitian having interned at Anchor Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota. With her husband, an Army Engineer, she has lived in Hawaii, France, and many different states of the U.S. Now she is in Germany. Before leaving Wes- ton at mid term she taught the fifth and sixth grades. Her outside interests are sewing and baking. B. A. Busbice, B.S., Northeast State College. l-le teaches Algebra l and II, seventh grade science, eighth grade math and physical edu- cation. Mr. Busbice is coach of the boys' basketball team and sponsor of the eighth grade class. His favorite outside activities are hunting and sports. Mrs. Harrel Haile, B.S. , Northwestern State College, joined the Weston faculty this year. She teaches seventh history, eleventh and twelfth history, eighth history, seventh Eng- lish, seventh and eighth grade physical edu- cation, and is sponsor for the seventh grade class. After school hours she likes to play the piano, sing, and entertain her three young sons. Also she enjoys attending basket ball games, with her husband, who is also an enthusiastic fan and an approved official. - 0 , 'V

Mrs. D. D. Tait B.A., La. Tech. She teaches the second and third grades. Much of her teaching is done in projects built around holidays and special events such as Book Week, Easter, Polio drives, and birthdays of famous people. Assembly programs and others grow out of these in which students design costumes and scenery as well as write the narration. She likes to make and save snapshots of these school activities. When not in school she enjoys entertaining her friends under ten, readin and cooking. Mrs. Tait has taught at Wes- ton for the past eight years. gn Velma Koonce B.A., La. Tech. She teaches the first grade and has for the past twelve years. Miss Koonce is a life long resident of this community, having grad- uated from this school. During her high school days she was secretary of Community Programs under the direction of Miss Mary Mims. In her early teaching years she coached girls' basketball in other schools of the parish. After school hours she likes to garden, arrange flowers, sew, and em- broider. She also likes to fish and to watch boxing on TV. Lois Kinman, B.S., La. Tech. For the past six years Mrs. Kinman has taught at Weston. Her work has included third, fourth, and fifth grades. This year she has fourth and fifth grades. She likes and uses the unit method of teaching with the help of the ditto machine, films, and other visual aids. Cre- ative activities are encouraged among her students in connection with arts and sciences. Inher spare time Mrs. Kinman enjoys reading, crocheting, gardening, and tending her farm animals.

Mrs. E. L. Busbice, B.S., La. Tech. Mrs. Busbice teaches home economics I,II,III, IV, English II, and eighth grade home living. She is sponsor of the Future Homemakers of America and of the tenth grade class. In her leisure time she enjoys all types of art work and reading. She has been a member of this faculty since 1941. Mrs. Jimmy Gilbert, B.A., La. Techy M.E. University of Arkansas. She is our librarian and teaches English I and III, and seventh grade mathematics. She is sponsor of the ninth grade class, and this year presented a junior play. After school is out, she likes to sing and read. This isher first year at Weston. E. L. Busbice, B.S., LSU. He teaches I, II, III, IV Agriculture and physical education to the junior high boys, and coaches the high school girls' basketball team. His outside interests are sports and hunting. Except for one year in service he has taught at Weston since 1940.
