CATCH THE SPIRIT . . . Westmoreland Cheerleaders work hard to be the spirit leaders of the school. They are talented and more spirited than ever. Not only is cheer- leading fun but there is much hard work and practice. The Cheerlead- ers create run-throughs, organize wg. ,f activities for the student body, and create spirit throughout the school. THE YE 19 6-87 CO CH OF Coach Bobby Hopkins' tradition of coaching bas- ketball began here in Westmoreland twenty- four years ago. In fact, he coached both girls' and boys' basketball and foot- ' ball. He was recognized , , most recently for his ac- ' complishments when he was named the Class A Coach of the Year for the ' 1986-1987 basketball . season. Not only does he have a grip on the athletic as- pects, but also on academ- ics as well. He sets an ex- ample for everyone to wx follow.
