Foreword y Books are something which have a mark- ed influence on everyone. Once a person has finished a book, it leaves an indelible mark on the reader. It may have been fact or fiction, short or long, in a light vein or heavy, but no matter what type it was, it formed part of the person's character. Human nature is a very flexible and im- pressionable thing. Beliefs are built and molded around what already exists. Some remain unaltered or unadded to, but are expressed differently so that each genera- tion can understand it in the present ver- nacular. All facts must be recorded, whether positive or negative, so time will not be used to refind it or make the same mistake. Once you have a belief, books can strength- en it, shake it, or change it. The personuwho is not well read is limiting himself to a small and narrow world. This world is restricted not because others can not enter, butthat the person can not leave.
