THE TIME MACHINE Here I am back in Westmoreland, in the year 1967. I have just returned from a trip to the moon where I was a nurse on board the first rocket ship to ever take a trip there. I am the for- mer SHARON SMITH and have been asked by some students in Westmoreland, Qwho incidentally were second graders when I left schoolj if I could tell them about as many of the graduates of 1957 asI could. I was a senior in that class sol will tell about these friends of mine. First I will mention DONEE OSTER who is living in Texas with her Air Force Major, of course her name is changed now! You all know who she married. EDDIE SABIK has his own advertising agency now. After attending M.V.T.I., he has really gone places. I recently had a letter from FLOSS McDONOUGH who is now in New York with NANCY RUSHFORD. They are in joint partnership and own the Swank Beauty Salon down in the big city. The builder of the new school which will be completed shortly is LLOYD STOREY who has his own construction company. TOM WETHERELL is still living in Westmoreland although he is a professor of social studies in Hamil- ton College. I think you kids remember that your coach NEIL SWINGRUBER was also a member of my graduating class back in '5'7. MARY ANN FALLAT, treasurer of my class through four years of high school, is the owner of the Fallat-Trust Co. here in Westmoreland. MARIE CLARK and SYLVIA HAYDUK are each private secretaries in the Fallat Trust and ROSALIE LY- MAY is the president of the bank with DORIS REESE as the vice president. Remember that record you kids were talking about, well the stars of that record are two girls who graduated with me, RUBY SIKES and LOIS SHUMAKER. Mrs. Arthur Fusco, who is living in Lowell with her husband and quintuplets is the former PAT SIMONS. The former CATHY DAWES and IDRETTA DYKHOFF are the women responsible for the school in which you girls take your baton lessonsg now you know why we have such good majorettes here in Westmoreland. YVONNE HAND has gone a long way since I saw her last, she is now in California, designing clothes called the 'Yvonne Hand Originals. EDDIE and CHARLES STOREY are the owners of Storey 8s Storey Creamery' up there on Route 233 where you can buy that healthful milk bottled by their workers. HOWARD WALKER is the manager of the P8sC food market in Lowell, and BILL EFFLAND is coming up with one invention after another in the Electronics Testing Center in Lowell. Mrs. James Rieley, the former MARTY FROSCHAUER, is living in Connecticut. The M. Rieley Reducing Plan will soon be published in many magazines. If you kids would like to see a nice-looking trooper why don't you go down to the New Hartford barracks and there you will see at the desk, Sergeant PETER BRADLINSKI. JUDY HEWITT is the career girl of the class of 1957. She's not married yet and is now in New York where she is editor of the New York Times. HUBERT PRITCHARD and CARLTON KITCHEN are now living in Vernon since they took over Burton Livestock Exchange. It is now called 'Kitchen and Pritchard Inc. and is being operated on a much larger basis. JIM SOBIK and LEO LE CHEVET have also gone into partnership. They operate the LeSo Raceway on Route 5 where you kids go to the races every Sunday. DE-DE RYAN was just married as you all know and she'll be here when school starts in the fall to take over Mrs. Morton's position. After attending Cortland college De -De is able to be our new gym teacher for the girls for which I am very happy. I will mention GIDRIA ASHLEY. To tell you the truth I really don't know where she is now but I have heard she is to come back to Westmoreland and will be the manager of the new dress shop here in town. Well, I have been able to recall all my classmates and tell you a little about each of them. Some astonishing events have taken place which I never dreamed would happen.
