H MIMINISTIU-lTIU WII A The adm1n1strat1on ot 1953 54 was headed by Mr Willard E Ackley supervising prlncipal His regular duties along with h1s able direction ot the school s chorus kept him very busy Th1s term brought an end to Mr Ackleys pOS1l1OI1 at West mont and it 15 wlth regret that the students and faculty bid him farewell vt This year also marked the arrival of the new h1gh school principal Mr D A Watts In the very short time he has been here Mr Watts has shown that he has the best interests of the pupils and school at heart Mr Watts is a graduate of Bloomsburg State Teachers College where he re elved his B S degree He al o at tended Bucknell Un1vers1ty where he earned an M S dgree During World War II Mr Watts served as a lleutenant in the United States Navy aboard a de troyer Before his arrival at West Mr Watts pOS1ll0I1 at Westmont includes not only that of act1ng pr1nc1pal of the Sen1or High but also that of principal of the Iunior High sec 1on of our school M1ss Anna Mary Raab M1ss Anna Iean A hcomb and Mis Kathryn E1 aman are the very capable secretaries to Mr Ackley Mr Watts and Mr Leckey respectively In the m1ddle of the year M1ss Ashcomb replaced Mrs Good as secretary to Mr Watts Miss Ashcomb is a graduate ot the cla s of 1944 of Westmont Miss Ersaman 1S a graduate ol last years class RPIARII-S I It r Both the student body and the teachers deeply respect our efficient and 1ndustr1ous adm1n1strat1on Mr. i ard E. clcley Mr. D.
