'V' S NIUR Ulfll Four years ago a lrstless unmanageable group of freshmen entered hrgh school Amld the leers of the upper classmen the hours of detentlon and the rnsrstant buzzer announclng class t1me they exlsted Be1ng the frrst class to complete the two years of the Consolrdated School they needed no rntroductron to each other The ballots of the1r f1rst electlon desrgnated D1Ck Ott presl dent Bruce Ideson v1ce pres1dent Ioan Swank treasurer and Ioan Engh secretary to lead them through that f1rst bewrlderrng year Dur 1ng therr second year the sophomores gurded by Herb WGISS Bob Barrett Elleen Park and Norma Lane began to produce some results and brought the clas out of obscurrty In thelr thrrd year football basketball and track ma terral began to show up and all of the organ 1zat1on of the school welcomed the 1un1ors Thls class was proudly dlrected by pres1dent We ley Wallace vxce pres1dent Gene Kauff man treasurer Hannah Robson and secretary C1ndy Dunckel A successful Halloween Dance wa held and an mterestrng well edlted Yodler was publ1 hed The annual Iunror Semor Prom presented rn February due to the SENIOR large number of semor boy leav1ng for serv 1ce was a successful event Fmally Senror they rnaugurated the1r last year of hrgh school by choosmg hard workrng and eff1c1ent clas offrcers Bruce Ideson presxdent Sonny Conrad vrce pres1dent Elleen Mrller treasurer and lean Marshall ecretary The Semors were amply represent ed 1n sport a t1v1t1es On the football freld were eleven letter men who helped wlnd up a suc cessful season by defeatmg Ferndale Pre dommant on the basketball floor were SIX letter men namely Herb Welss Bob Barrett Bob Davls Irm Iohns Iohn Danyluk and Gene Kaunffman The mtramural sports program kept many Sentors busy at lunch t1me Four Senror gtrls who helped lead the school cheers at basketball and football games were Ioan Betty Lou Foust They drd therr best to w1n second place 1n a cheerleadmg contest at Somerset The class was represented on H1 Y by a number of Senror boys who helped up hold the many prrncrples of the club Bob Barrett gurded the members of the WClub through a successful year The slght of glrls walkrng through the halls carryrng eggs or dolls dressed 1n odd fashrons or wearmg slgns was the fault of Ioan Engh pres1dent of Grrl Reserves Betty Lou Foust led the g1rls Gym Club through an QCl1V1lY hlled year Bob Bar rett was elected pres1dent of the Student Coun c1l whrch carrled through many rdeas for the betterment of the school Senror representa trves to thrs body were Rosemary Wertz Bob Davts and Gerald McCorm1ck The Senrors under the drrectron of MISS Gehrardt presented the hrst play on November 30th The class dance Aurora Borealrs held at Chrrstmas t1me was enjoyed by a large crowd Semors took part rn many assemblres and held one of therr own whrch was applauded as the best of the year Scholasttcally the Senrors were an average class wrth Francls Conrad Erleen Park Elame Sobol Norma Lane Atleen Rhodes Agnes Eash Ioanne Rrchardson Drck Ott L1ly Mae Fox and LOIS Baxendell takrng the honors .
