answered reve1l le on August 31st but certa1nly hated the abrupt awakenlng from the summer lull They arr1ved 1n school to flnd two new teachers but they soon accl1rnated themselves to the Change and qu1ck ly set to work The results showed up on the honor roll for the sophomores led the school Whlle stand1ng at attent1on awa1t1ng further orders the members of the class who were on the team a success Harold Faverty and B111 Hell man starred 1n several games Most of the sophomores however were on the supportmg teams The next month 1n tra1n1ng found the sopho mores choos1ng capable off1cers and home room representatwes Harry Coulson was elected pres1dent Drck Parsons v1ce pres1dent Dorxs Strf fler secretary and Harold Faverty treasurer The student counc1l representatlves were Gene Ober Patty R1chardson Iay Shaul1s Iohn Trent Adr1enne Glock Ronnat Grogan Mar1or1e Porn walt and Ethel Spangler Basketball season opened and two of the sophomores Harold Faverty and B111 He1lman were chosen for the vars1ty team Three others B111 Marks Chaddy Aufrnan and Gene Ober played on the 1un1or varslty The1r good all around play1ng was the pr1de of the class The sophomores though farrly studlous showed the school where the1r true 1nterest lay by reportlng for duty en masse at all the dances By help1ng to promote the Glrl Reserves Beau Ball the g1rls showed the upperclassmen Desu1te th1s great enthuslasrn for danc1ng the sophomores kept up a h1gh scholast1c stand ard The1r students 1nvar1ably on the honor roll were Blanche Blozovltch Rob rt Haberstroh Ianet Kauffman Nancy Kn1pe Patty R1chardson LOlS W1lloughby Selma Zasofsky and Sh1rley Boland The class answered a reque t for a Sprmg Dance by promot1ng the Easter Dance on May l A large crowd dld 11S 11v1ng am1d decorahons of sprmg flowers It was a great soc1al success en loyed bzy all the classes Th1s venture demon strated the sophs Qblllly to produce The months passed rap1d1y and the sopho mores were anx1ous to TGCGIVG Corporal ratmgs 28 the football squad aided in the efforts to make that the boys weren't the only dance enthusiasts.
