Soccer Once again Coach Carr's Warriors proved Westmont a soccer Power House in grabbing yet another District Ill champion- ships lover USIU, I-0 sudden deathj as well as toppling traditional foes UCLA fl -Ol and Cal State Fullerton I2-I l en route to the Southern California Intercollegiate Soccer Association title. The Warriors were led on the field by the offense of All-America Alfonso Guzman and the twenty goals of team scoring champ Kevin Dunne fmost valu- able offensive playerj. Senior captain Dan Ribbens, co-MVP with Guzman, anchored a stingy defense featuring frosh standout Casey Roberts fmost valuable defensive playeri in the nets as the Warriors posted a team record, eleven shutouts on the season. Things came to an end with a 2-l overtime loss to eventual national champ Simon Fraser Uni- versity in the Area l title match, final record, 14-8.
