me icafion Last September, beneath the gnarled limbs of the overhang- ing oak trees, Dr. Roy L. Laurin, chairman of the board of trustees, presented the charge and seal to the new president of Westmont College, Dr. Roger I. Voskuyl. ln the months which have followed that impressive inaugu- ration ceremony, our president has guided the college along a road which has not always been smooth. But as the burdens and responsibilities of administration have pressed upon him, he has lifted his face unto the Lord Who has proven Himself faithful. The joy of seeing the Lord guide our president and thus our college has often caused us to rejoice in the strains of Great is Thy Faithfulnessf' Through our presidents earnest desire for our spiritual as well as academic growth and his reliance on the Lord, we have been lead into a fuller walk with Him. Because of this and his encouraging presence at social functions and friendly interest in student activities, he has found a warm place in our hearts. We praise God for directing Dr. Voskuyl to the Westmont campus, and it is with love and respect that we dedicate the 1952 Citadel to our president, Dr. Roger I. Voskuyl.
