From The Office oi The President . Dear Seniors, You graduates of 1959 are the first class to have your complete high school experience in the Campbell and Askew buildings. When you were Eighth Graders, these buildings had just been completed. In the fall of 1954, we were still enter- ing the campus on that little dirt road coming through the woods from How ell Mill Road. There was no big field house no Scott building no girls playing field no entrance from West Paces Ferry Road and of course no entrance from West Wes ley Road no music building and no Hut' Indeed you have seen the campus grow from two class room buildings emerging from mounds of red clay to an almost completely developed campus of 170 acres I am proud of this physical development but I mention it only because there is a subtle corre lation here During these same five years you de veloped so many of your potentialities and of course the true purposes of the school have found expression only in your development Rarely does a school have a class that shows as much leadership as has the class of 1959 -Xt all times you have been cooperative critical and loyal This attitude has resulted in your establish ing among other things our program of Senior Supervisors at Westminster I feel sure that this innovation is going to become one of the great contributions to the school You go to college now with our complete con hdence in your success there In the future we shall follow your progress from success to success with great pride Cordially DR PRESSLH DR WILLIAM I PRESSIY Pretzdefzf I' I' I' 1' I' I' 1' r r Mr Boa rd of Trustees Mrs Ixan Allen jr Mr H W Beers Ir Mrs Spencer Boyd Paul Brow n VC'elborn Cody Robert L Dodd W D Ellis Nfrs IamesN Frazer Dr Roland Frye Nfrs Thomas M Hines Mr G Arthur How ell Ir Mrs George Hott Mrs Iames C Malone I R McCain P D Miller Fritz Orr Iames Porter E D Smith Hal L Smith Monroe Sw illes Pollard Turman Xxflllllfll S W'oods Allison Williams 7 Dr. .
