Book Club I - . f I - L. . - . W 1.5 The Book Club is a seventh grade organization advised by Mrs. Paulson. They elect a new group of officers each semester. Their presidents and vice-presidents were Tim C-reving and Debbie Wegelin, first semester, and Gwen Karch and Pat Lee, second semester, This group is made up of students who take a great interest in reading and discussing books. This is the first year for this organization, librarg Club rhniim .fiUEiUHm1+4 'u'v I'-.fs va These boys and girls are in all grades from seventh through ninth grades. Their main purpose is to keep the library in order, check out books, put books back on the shelves, and to collect fines. These students forfeit their study hall time in order to be of service to the school. Their assistance is greatly appreciated by Mrs. Hart, the librarian. -43-

Art Club D. Albert, A. Carson, J. Kirby, I. Smith, K. Murosky, G. Ketzel, E. Norcross, R. Meyn, J. Wittmaak, B. Gerhlein, D. Crawford, I. Rothrock, B. Jackna, G, Gerhlein, Mrs. Busch, Faculty Advisor. During the past year a number of ninth grade students, interested in the field of art, have participated in the functions of our Art Club. These students have contributed their time and talents in the form of services to the teachers. Besides assisting the teachers with bulletin boards and other art projects, they work on worth while pro- jects of their own such as ceramics and copper tooling. Projection Crew 4 n 1 The Projection Crew is an organization in which a certain number of students learn the use of projectors, tape recorders, and the like. The main function of this organization is to secure films from a film rental company and show these films for the teachers thus making it easier on the faculty, who then do not have to set up the equip- ment. The Projection Crew is made up of seventh, eighth, and ninth grade students and is under the direction of Mr. Sam Petruso. -42-

4.7. Beginning Strings This organization was formed to prepare seventh graders for entering the Junior Orchestra. This group is under the direction of Mr. Lloyd Johns. Mr. Johns is aided by the ninth graders in teaching the pupils to play the instruments. The ninth graders hope that these people meet with great success in future years. Junior Orchestra The Junior Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Lloyd Johns, is a group of eighth and ninth grade students who have worked hard to attain and maintain a position in this group. The members of the sections, except for the strings, are also in the Junior Band. The Orchestra this year has played in the Instrumental Spring Concert and for P. T.A. -4,4- 4
