They have the opportunity to put to use the practical ap- plication of the German lan- guage in a friendly atmos- phere. To stimulate interest, travel films on Germany and Austria are shown. Newly formed this year, the club tries to promote an interest in folk music and also to create a feeling of casual- ness and friendliness among its members. Meetings are held weekly at various memberls homes beginning with a meeting and ending with a hootenanny in which everyone joins in with voices and guitars. The most active group within the chapter is the Talent Troupe which provides the entertain- ment for hospitals, nursing homes, and the State Home and Training School at Ridge. Each year the outstanding leaders in Junior and High School Red Cross are sent toaleadership camp in Idaho Springs by the Adams County Chapter.
