To do this members emphasize four major ideals: leadership, scholarship, character, and service. Membership is a traditional and national honor. Each year promising students are nominated by their teachers and from the group the top young people are se- lected for membership. The most active group within the chapter is the Talent Troupe which provides the entertain- ment for hospitals, nursing homes, and the State Home and Training School at Ridge. Each year the outstanding leaders in Junior and High School Red Cross are sent toaleadership camp in Idaho Springs by the Adams County Chapter.
