M idnzlght Oi! Bums as StajMeets Deadlzne Westy High's newspaper the Warrior Independent is published every three weeks by the school pub- lications class under Mr. William Wilkie. The staff has been busy all year putting out the regular issues, plus the specials: Homecoming, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Prom, and the 12 page Senior Edition. The re- porters also have definite jobs. The main staff is mainly concerned with executive duties such as proofreading and collecting money for ads. With togetherness, teamwork, and communal headaches, our paper has survived another year. ebrokenkorjyer Pmys For Wz'nter Snowy When the first flakes of snow begin to fall, Mr, Fuxa and Mr. Van Zee, the enthusiastic sponsors of Gebroken- korper, as Westy's ski club has been named, find themselves constantly heck- led by the Westy skiers eager to know about the first trip of the season. But the trips started later than usual due to the lack of sufficient snow. Butbefore putting their skis to the slopes, the members soon found out that there were other Winter sports and activities such as ice-skating and sleigh-riding.
