Sponsoring Homecoming activities , S t u d e n t Council week, Merit Pins, and selling pep tags were some of the councils'biggest projects for the year. Seven students from each class are selected to represent their class in council. It is composed of the presidents project and to discuss club problems and ways in of each club and the headboy and girl of the school. which they can be solved. At the present time It's two main purposes are: to discuss money- there are 25-30 clubs who are represented.

ALL SCHOOL SECRETARY . . . . . . CAROL WARD ALL SCHOOL TREASURER . . . MARY LEE DOLL In addition to holding an overall 4.28 grade average, Ron Aanerud, Head Boy, has represented Westminster High School at the State Student Council in Fort Collins, the League Student Council at Littleton, and has won the Masonic Achievement award. He has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years, and has participated in sports. All this while working a part-time job 25-30 hrs. a week. Ron has been concerned throughout the year in promoting the school's reputation and appear- ance. He has been accepted as a Freshman in Stanford University, but states he is not positive which school he will attend. Presently, he is the Colorado Selectee of the Gerber Engineering Scholarship competing with Selectees of the other 49 states. Head Girl Carol Jitsuda has been one of the most active students ever to attend Westminster. Among her achievements are: membership in F.T.A,, F.M,P,, G.A.A., Choir, Rodeo Club, and has been active in variousspeech meets. She is Chairman of the Save the Children Fed- eration, and has participated in two Science Fairs with Honorable Mention each time. Carol has been Secretary of her Sophomore Class, Secretary of her Junior Class, and Secretary of the Student Council. She has presided over Club Roundtable, alternated as Head Girl in Council, and has represented the school with pride and enthusiasm. Showing outstanding ability, Carol Ward, All School Secretary, has a full-time schedule, She was the first recipient of the Merit Pin, and has served as co-chairman of the student exchange program, Mary Lee Doll, All School Treasurer, handles all student council expenditures while serving on the executive committee of the Council. Among her activities are mem- bership in N.F.L,, Rainbow, and Church groups.

Under Editor in chief, Francine Staniewski, and Co-editor, Vicki Davis, the staff has injected a note of freshness into this year's annual, the highlights being the full royalty pages and lar- ger senior pictures. The long hours after school and on Saturdays have converted the book into a manifesta- tion of the year's activities, looked forward to by the entire student body.
