Our Ehvri had iflflemvrie It seems just a short time ago that the Class of '57 entered Westminster High School. But now Father Time tells us it is time for us to say farewell. As we leave these hal- lowed halls we leave behind us six golden years of memories. We will never forget: SEVENTH GRADE: We marched diligently to our classes and were never late. We were scared to death of a sacred place called detention hall and many of us became honorary members. In the Seventh Grade several of the students made the big Christmas Play and it was the boys' turn to lend their beautiful soprano voices to the angelic boys' choir. EIGHTH GRADE: The eighth grade passed by very quickly. With very little opportunity to join clubs or participate in sports we spent most of our time being studious demons, NINTH GRADE: Then came our Freshman Year. It was our turn to be the big wheels of the junior High. Some of our boys and girls made the junior Varsity teams. We began to take minor parts in many extracurricular activities. The highlight of the year came with the big class trip to Annapolis. TENTH GRADE: Our Sophomore Year rolled around quickly. We operated on frogs and earthworms in Biology fthe girls being horrifiedlj and did our first Shakespearean Play. We or- ganized our class and elected Nelson Brenneman as President. We joined many clubs and became well rooted in high school life. The major event of the year was the Sopho- more Swing which proved to be a great success. ELEVENTH GRADE: In our junior Year we began to prepare for leadership of the school. In the fall we elected jim Head as Class President, and he served us to the utmost capacity. We will never forget those crazy dramatics classes and those amusing pantomimes. It was our turn to fill the hall with fragrant odors of chemistry and write those term papers. The culmination of the year was our long awaited junior Prom, the theme of which was the Carousel. As we stood before the Class of '56 on Class Night singing our class song we began to realize that the end of our school years was drawing nigh and that great responsibilities were lying ahead of us. TWELFTH GRADE: Finally the long awaited title of Seniors. We capably took over the leadership of the school and tried to prove good examples for the underclassmen. The year was highlighted with many activities such as the Christmas Play and Chorus, the Eisteddfoa, Magazine Campaign, the Senior Prom, those horrible exams, Class Night, and finally Graduation. Though we are sad to leave we are looking forward to taking our place in the world proving that our education was a great benefit to us.
