We experience real pride as we realize that Mr. 'J ' ar - ied 1' Earhart graduated from our high school and re- car-oi- tumed several years later as a member of the Ig: X faculty. Although having served our school as prin- 4 - .,.n cipal for only two years, each of us has felt per- Ummg I ----- sonally influenced by his warm smile and sincere :M L interest in us. 3? 5 :mr A Thus, as we leave Westminster High School, cair-f-1 our symphony swells in great appreciation to our 5 conductor and our friend. As we look back over our Junior and Senior High School careers, we all get a different picture of school life. But it all ends with the thought that we as a class shared some memorable events and will take with us many precious memories that time will not destroy and money cannot buy. We like to think that Westminster High School was made better because of usg and we are quite certain that we, as individuals as well as a class, were made better because of our Alma Mater and all it stands for. We've grown a lot physically and mentally since we first entered these very doors six years ago. And with our growth have also matured our ideals as a class and our dreams as individuals. As someone, much wiser and much more experienced than we, once said, 4'Life is too short to be little. We as Seniors recognize this fact, and are determined to he big in life. If we succeed, we can accredit Westminster High School for helping us set our goals high. As we leave to accept this -- our greatest challenge thus far in life, we turn to salute and thank you, our Alma Mater, Westminster High School. w ifi 2 if :ms 5 fm! You have to find your own wayf' Education not only provides you with direction, but it also prepares you for the difficult journey that lies ahead. Your opportunities for success are narrowed by your lack of education and, conver- sely, are broadened by it. Your high school back- ground will not assure you of success, but it will help remove many obstacles. May each of you con- tinue to develop into outstanding citizens and ul- timately make your contribution to our democratic heritage. XML A? ASSISTANT CONDUCTORS my I 'Q MR. Thru these now dear portals Our voices ring on, For all your ideals Which now are our own. So Class of Fifty-four As fortune is calling, Ambition and honor Will always be ours. Though as we go forward, Our paths will be varied, Ever back to you our Loyal hearts will always roam. In this our farewell song, We thank thee for guiding, Our thoughts and our ways so They'll ne'er go astray.
