THE BOARD KENNETH CHORLEY Born in Bournemouth, England, Dr. Kenneth Chorley came to the United States at the age of seven, and was educated at the Manlius School in New York. His honors include an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws from the College of William and Mary, an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters from William Smith and Hobart Colleges, a special award for service and contributions to the State of Virginia by the Virginia State Chamber of Com¬ merce, and a medal from the French Government for his ser¬ vices on the Executive Committee of the Yorktown, Virginia, Sesquicentennial. In 1959, Queen Elizabeth II honored Dr. Chorley by naming him an Honorary Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his services in pro¬ moting British-American friendship and understanding.
