They had a very full year in Mrs. Depue's third grade. Their Science and Social Studies program was full of experiments and hands-on-activities such as erupting volcanoes, lunar rocks, and stuffed dinosaurs. They even learned some forms of needlework such as sewing, needlepoint, and hooking a class pillow. At Thanksgiving time they dressed up as Pilgrims and Indians and enioyed sharing Thankful Stew which they made in class. lt was fun cooking once a month! Their trip to the Broward County Planetarium, King Cromarti House and Discovery Center were among experiences they will not soon forget. Mrs. Diane Depue: Florida Atlantic University, at B.A., M.Ed. Fourth Grode 25 Mrs. McKay's fourth grade had an exciting and eventful year. They learned the real meaning of Thanksgiving by holding a big Thanksgiving dinner in their classroom and shared with each other the many things they were thankful for. Of course, they had fun participating in the annual Christmas program. At the beginning of the new year, they enjoyed a field trip to Planet Ocean. This trip was taken to highlight our study of Life in the Ocean. Finally, they studied Florida's natural resources, food and vegetables in Florida History culminated in a big seafood dinner from Red Lobster.
