Sixth Grade Q 1 fi Sixth grade was anything but boring in Mr. Chubb's class. Many field trips were takenp to Viscaya, Spanish River Park, and Planet Ocean. Planet Ocean was particularly interesting to the S class because of their numerous rssv science experiments and movies all year. At times the Sixth Graders looked like foreigners. Early in the year they were Greeks, then Romans. In the Spring they each represented a country of modern Europe, dressing in the national costume of that country. During the Christmas season Scrooge and the Spirits were the main theme of our activities. Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn and many celebrities from past and present came alive as biographies and classics were acted out. The mural -time - line gave them an opportunity to display their artistic abilities. They have learned to live with each other and develop meaningful friendships. lt has been a good year.
