JUNIOR VARSITY GAINS EXPERIENCE The junior varsity thus far is having a mediocre sea- son. They have thus far compiled a 2—2 won-loss record. Intramural Chairman Mr. Duane Wilson and Student Leaders Sue Praetorius, Peggy Riggs, and Jim Van Pelt. INTRAMURALS ENLARGED MEN The Men’s Intramural program is again growing aS a competitive program among the over 350 men in college. Team sports include: Touch football, Bowling, Basketball, Volleyball, Softball (slow pitch), and Softball (fast pitch). For the individual, horseshoes, chess, table tennis, billi- ards, badminton, tennis, and golf are available. Chairman for the Men’s Intramural program is Jim Van Pelt. Intramurals were organized in order to provide competition. At Westmar the compe- tition is keen among the some ten sports. WOMEN The Women’s Intramural program at Westmar is an excellent one. Open to all college women, more than 100 girls have participated in the various ac- tivities this year. Individual and dual sports in- clude: chess, table tennis, tennis, and golf. Team sports for women include: field hockey, bowling, basketball, volleyball, and softball. Co-chairmen for the Women’s Intramural program are Sue Prae- torius and Peggy Riggs.
