Varsity Cheerleaders: Jan Davolt, Lois Vix, Kerry Hubin, Conney Rau, and Ruth Knickman. CHEERLEADERS RADIATE PEP The Eagle cheerleaders swing to the rhythm of the Westmar school song. 158 Enthusiasm ... Energy . . . Spirit . . . Bounce . . . At each football and basketball game, the Westmar cheerleaders lead the school in their enthusiastic yells for victory. These five girls— Jan Davolt, Kerry Hubin, Ruth Knickman, Conney Rau, and Lois Vix—were chosen in the spring of 1965. Ruth Knickman was se- lected as head cheerleader. Working just as hard as the athletes, these girls created new cheers and promoted the school spirit at games. At a special assembly in the fall, four fresh- man were chosen as “B” squad cheerleaders. Jan Brown, Diane Hazel, Jan Pankonin and Sherry Rochholz radiantly lead the spectators in school cheers at wrestling matches and B-squad basketball games.
