The loveliness of Westmar campus can be seen at any time of the year. Au- tumn brings brightly colored leaves which float about us as we walk from class to class. The elm leaves clutter into a pile so that even dignified college students become children again and shuffle through them to hear the rustle. The nippy weather centers our thoughts to daring football games and weiner roasts. Winter brings her cold winds but beautiful snow to cover the campus with a clean white snowy sheet just as a mother tucks the sleepy little boy in bed at night. As students look out of their window the morning after a snow they see a world uncluttered with footprints, but soon marks of shoes will be seen changing it into a human world. Then, spring pops out with budding leaves and tiny blades of grass to trans- form the campus into a world of green. It is the time of soft ball and tennis and hand-in-hand couples strolling across the campus a little slower than usual. The beauty of nature is continually changing on the campus of Westmar, but there seems to remain one permanent and spiritual beauty which we pray will never leave our campus. This is the beauty of friendliness. A cheery hi'' from a fellow classmate alters the gloomy day into one of peace and contentment. Al- though the studentsof Westmar cannot stop the process of nature and make the blossom of a flower stay the year around, they are able to keep Westmar College happy and friendly. 95
