As you all know by now, the theme of the V47esfwi1zrl this year was Captured Memories on Micro-film. Therefore, the yearbook staff included some of the more outstanding events of the 1963-64 school year. Obvious occurences, such as dances and parties, were included, of course, but the emphasis was shifted from the lighter side of school life to other things, such as the presentation of awards, installation of student council members and officers, various club activities, and sports events. This was done in an attempt to select occasions that were an integral part of our school year. Although we may hate to admit it, learning was the main reason we were here. Fortunately, the shock of receiving knowledge was softened by our surroundings. The freshmen in particular appreciated the new language lab, an excellent place to do unfinished homework, the seventh graders enjoyed their first taste of biology- 5, ci the eighth-graders impressed us all i D creations in art. with their Although the annual language and maths matics competitions with students from other schools were omitted this year, Westlane Stu dents distinguished themselves with - the Science Fair and for their various clubs This year has been a fruitful one for Westlane and her students, and one we are not forget. Next year a new circle will start. The freshmen, top dogsv this year, will again be low men on the totem pole at North Central and the eighth and seventh graders will move up to a position of higher rank.
