Row AUDIO-VISUAL CLUB During the year, Mr. Pogue, sponsor of the Audio-visual Club, trained the members to operate and handle the various equipment in the libraryis 21-V. room. At least two members were in the library at all times ready to allocate and operate the schoolis film projectors and other apparatus. The club's purpose is to provide the school with audio-visual aids, stage setting facilities, and operating services wherever they are needed. SCIENCE CLUB Under the supervision of Mr. VanSickle, the members of the Science Club chose their indivi- dual topics of study from the fields of geology, physics, and biology. One of the highlights of this year's activities was the trip to Southern Indiana for a spelunking expedition in W'yndotte Cave. Any student in Westlane could participate in the most memorable of all events, the Science Fair. FISHER BODY CRAFTSMEINVS GUILD The Fisher Body Craftsmen's Guild was organ- ized to bring talents in design, creativeness and originality to Wfestlane boys. Each boy strived to complete a finished model of his design suit- able to be judged by experts at Detroit. Valu- able scholarships awarded by Fisher Body added incentive to the project. The sponsor, Mr. Ufkes, gave suggestions and answered questions While the club members made sketches, finished plans, built a clay mock-up, or completed the finished Wooden model.
