PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB-G. Dearing, L. Reddick, Morton, Mr. Mertz, S. Jeffries, W. Keiner Sgogg PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB Look at the birdiei' is a term Well-known to the members of the photography club. Be- sides taking the pictures for the Wfestwimi and Hi-Ligfazfs, these boys learned the secrets of the darkroom, operation of several types of cameras, and important techniques of processing and developing film. The darkroom, located in the eighth grade hall., contained a sink, three develop- ing trays, an enlarger, and several types of lights. Besides learning how to use the equipment, the members learned about various tinting and retouching methods. The staff of the WCSf1Ui71d Wishes to thank the members of this club for the co-operation they have shown in capturing memories that will long be treasured. E. Roach, A. Bolotin, T. Lehman, Wallace, B. Mullin, J. Simmons, B. Bernstorf, A. Appel, Mr. McNichols, D. Myers. Not Picf1lrc'r1: D. Marks, M. Riley. HAM RADIO The call number K9TDS 'is a term easily recognized by the members of the Ham Radio Club. The eleven members, under the supervision and guidance of Mr. McNichols, strived to obtain their novice operators' licenses. This license, which is valid for one year, is obtained when the operator develops an understanding and ap- plication of radio theory, as well as the ability to send and receive Morse Code. Every trans- mission on the ham radio set is recorded in the club log book, which tells the time, place, and name of the person transmitting. By participat- inv in this club, the boys have gained experience anil knowledge they will long remember and use. Page fifirty-tIzf7'ec
