The trees in the hall, as well as the decorations in the library, office, and cafeteria, Were all products of this industrious group. The all school dance on March 20, one of the most well remembered of all student council activities, was organized by the club's sponSQf, Mr. Mount, the officers, and planning commlt- tees. No one will ever forget the theme Of BEATLEmania, all the Beatle records that Jos Kelly, WIFE disc jockey, played, or all the fun everyone, including the chaperones, had. u One of the largest jobs of the student counC1l was efficiently orientating the incoming sevciunfh 5 er- graders. Several members acted as guideS, U ing the future Westlaners through the halls classes, giving them a preview of lulilof hlgl life. Memories o . sg flv'-----' N x' I 4' 'Fay Activity period-that glorious half hour at the end of Monday and Tuesday afternoons-how fondly we recall the events that took place then! It was a time to Work, play, and catch up on unfinished homework. Our program was complete with clubs of every type to suit every interest. Of course, for the ustudious student study halls were available. The photography club members did their Work Well for us by catching people in the art of being themselvcsf, We hope that in the years to come you will enjoy remembering the captured memories of the various club activities of the 1963-'64 school year. BUSINESS CLUB The Business Club, composed of one repre- sentative from each of the 36 homerooms and sponsored by Mrs. Hess, was responsible for the sales of the W8SfWi1Zd and Hi-Lights. The major project was selling the 782 copies of the year- book. The members were also responsible for the distribution of Hi-Lights which was published seven times a year. This club is one of the most essential for our school's operation. Sutton, R. Trattner, T. Wilhoite, N. Wright. LIBRARY STAFF By maintaining a position on the library staff, the students learned about the basic opera- tion of a library. Such jobs as checking passes and stamping and shelving books were designated to several students who Worked in the library each period. Each of the 30 students relinquished his study ball in order to help Miss Burrin keep the library running smoothly for the benefit of the student body and faculty.
