Mr. Russell Abel, Principal In his fourth year as principal of Westlane Mr. Russell Abel has been successful solving the problems of our temporarily over-crowded school. Mr. Abel's many exacting tasks include organizing the curriculum, reviewing textbooks, planning teachers, meetings, and working with the Triangle Club. These administrative responsibilities he performs with a great deal of ef- fectiveness, striving always to improve Westlane wherever possible. However, he has one regret. While his interest is always directed toward the students, his busy schedule prevents him from establishing the close, friendly relationship with the student body he would like to have. Nevertheless, we know that his sincere smile and dignified appearance will always be associated with our memories of Westlane. Administrators Work Success all to Make Westlane Run rnoothl Mr. Arnold Spilly, Vice-Principal Mr. Arnold Spilly is occupying the position of Vice- Principal of Westlane for his fourth consecutive year. Both students and teachers come in contact with Mr. Spilly every day. If we donit come to him for ad- mission passes in the mornings or meet with him in the cafeteria, we can always find Mr. Spilly smiling in the halls. Besides being responsible for attendance, discipline, and part of our curriculum, Mr. Spilly schedules classes for both teachers and students and directs our club programs.
