Westtorte Wrestlers Good Representatives The freshman wrestling team, coached by Mr. Allen Teboe, earned a respectable 5-4 record during the 1962-63 season. Most of the wrestlers succeeded in pinning their opponents and started the season well. This year there were seven returning lettermen who earned their second award. The freshman team placed eighth in the county meet out of thirteen teams, and our outstanding wrestler was Pete Reilly. Their record, however, proves that the entire team performed well on all occasions. The seventh and eighth grade wrestlers, also coached by Mr. Teboe, had a very successful season with six This is Practice? wins and two defeats. They placed sixth out of seventeen teams in the county meet, and their out- standing wrestler was Larry Nahmias. Several other boys placed in the meets, too. Most of the boys were inexperienced at the beginning of the year but gained much skill during their daily practices. This year there were sixteen lettermen. After such a victorious season, most of the boys plan to continue next year, even though the eighth graders who enjoyed participating in both wrestling and basketball this year will now have to make a choice between the two.
