Vertical vitality ,, W5 ,ugh Royal resistance The eighth grade basketball team, coached by Mr. Terry Hudson, had a very successful season, Winning eight games and losing only five. The boys enjoyed the activity and, in addition to a demonstration of skill and ability, they exhibited good sportsmanship. Among the letter winners were Mike Riesin, jim Hickey, Tom Sutton, and Jim Goldstein. Other letter winners, whose enthusiasm and determination sparked many victories, were Paul Nefouse, Pete Thompson, Frank Bodwell, and Tom Scott. Nah- mias, Clark. everzth Graders Exhibit Spirit Although the seventh grade basketball team, under the patient coaching of Mr. Paul Mendenhall, finished the 1962-63 season with one victory and nine defeats, the season was still profitable. The boys exhibited, on all occasions, fine sportsmanship and enthusiasm. The experience they gained Was most valuable and their progress significant. Their greatest problem Was a lack of height, but a year's growth plus a year's ex- perience should result in a team possessing not only a good attitude but also much improved ability.
