EIGHTH GRADE DRA TICS Perfecting their acting abilities through the per- formances of various skits and plays was a main goal of the Eighth Grade Dramatics Club. Sponsored by Mrs. Potts, the group spent most of the year pre- paring for the eighth grade convocation play. Skits, charades, and plays are just a few of the varied endeavors of the Seventh Grade Dramatics Clubs. Under the sponsorship of Mrs. Bryan and Mrs. Cripe, the two drama clubs collaborated to pre- sent a special convocation play, No Time for Skirts. Club members not involved in this play strived for greater skill in dramatic expression, presenting one-act plays for their own enjoyment. Philyaw, L. Dawson, R. 9 CO CERT CHOIR Members of the Concert Choir are given many op- portunities for advancement in the field of music. A performance for the Triangle Club Style Show, the State Organization Contest, exchange convocations, and the Choir and Orchestra Program were just a few of the varied activities of this active group, sponsored by Mrs. Kern. Not only did the members learn ad- vanced choralitechniques, but they also spent many enjoyable hours singing both in rehearsal and perform- ances.
