Spirit is our eagerness to help and work, as Well as our enthus- iasm in having fun. Spirit is contagious. The vital- ity with which we Work and play spreads to every- one with whom we come in contact. Spirit gives us the sparkle which makes us Wildcats! Easter Parade? LETS GO!

We are called upon to show our talents in various ways. Providing an opportunity to test our talents as actors and actresses are the class plays. These popular convocations reveal surprising abilities to convey ideas and feelings to an audience. The Christmas convocation also displayed our artistic talents. This time musical gifts were exhibited -both vocally and instrumentally. Westlaners' talents, however, are not limited to artistic areas. Intellectual endowments too receive attention. One way these talents are developed is through our advanced science program. With modern equipment and an opportunity for individual study, we are enabled, through the science fair, to reveal effectively these skills to objective viewers. Another intellectual area in which our talents expressed themselves was Latin. Competing against many other schools, primarily high schools, we brought home from the regional contest the three highest scores. Yes, we have talent, which is demonstrated, recog- nized, and appreciated through activities at Westlane. Page fifteen
