Mr. Max Caldarera Max Caldarera graduated from Elton High School. In 1972, he earned his B.S. degree from McNeese State University, and in 1976, his Masters degree. He first taught at Merryville High School, where he was the head football coach. For the past eleven years he has been at Westlake High School, and is currently head football coach of the Westlake Rams. Coach Caldarera is married to Wanda Lejeune and they have two children, Kimberly and Little Max. He and his family attend St. John Bosco Catholic Church, and reside in Westlake. He enjoys all outdoor sports, especially hunting and fishing! To many, Coach Max is known as the best crawfish cook in Southwest Louisiana. With his own special sauces and his own cooking team, he can easily cook thousands of pounds of crawfish on his crawfish cooking trailer. The Ram-ler Staff dedicated the 1985 edition of the Ram-ler to Coach Max Caldarera with pride, honor, and appreciation for his hard work and faithfulness to Westlake High School. Dedicatk n 5
