The dance was a semi-formal, and Fantasy provided the music. This year, the Christmas dance was sponsored by the WHS Speech Club. They provided decorations and refreshments for the dance. WHS Cal-Cam Representatives Julie Cady was a junior representative in the West Cal-Cam Fair Beauty Pageant on October 9, 1984. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Parker and Mike Cady. She attends First Baptist Church and her hobbies are exercising, water-skiing, and dancing. Julie was the First runner-up in the contest. Missy Leger was a sophomore representative in the West Cal-Cam Fair Beauty Pageant on October 10, 1984. She is he daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Leger, and attends Saint John Bosco Catholic Church. Her hobbies are swimming, aerobicising, and dancing. Shawn Picard was the senior representative in the West Cal-Cam Fair Beauty Pageant on October 9, 1984. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Picard, and attends the Church of the Nazarene. Shawn's hobbies are track, dancing, basketball, and swimming. She was the winner of Miss Personality Plus. 18 Student Life

Looks Like We Made It The theme for the 1985 Jr.-Sr. Prom was Looks Like We Made It . The colors were purple, pink, and silver. Music was provided by Legacy. There was a garter ceremony at 11:30 and the crowning of Mr. and Miss WHS was at 12:00. Mr. WHS was Chuck Cochran and Miss WHS was Shawn Picard. The dance was held from 9:00 till 1:00 p.m. on April 13, 1985. It was held in the Napolean Room at the Sheraton Chateau Charles Inn in Sulphur. Daphne Walker, Jonan Robinson. Shelley Smith, and Shawn Picard all had dates who were graduates of WHS. Katrina Morvant and Stephen Fruge are ready for the Prom. WHS students enjoyed dancing at the prom. Bill and Connie watch the dance floor. Snadra Quick and her date prepare for the garter ceremony. Mandy Alexander enjoyed dinner before the dance. 20 Student Life
