1985 Homecoming Court Homecoming week at WHS began on October 29 and continued through November 1. During Homecoming week there was much excitement as students and faculty participated in the Homecoming festivities. Each day of the week was designated with a different theme. These were hat day, hobo day, 50’s day, orange and black day, and dress-up day. Students, faculty and staff members participated by dressing up appropriately for each day. On Thursday, the Homecoming parade gathered crowds along the streets from S.P. Arnett Middle School to Westlake High School. After the parade, there was a pep rally and bonfire in the parking lot at WHS. Friday night, Sonya Hall, the 1984 WHS Homecoming Queen crowned Shawn Picard as the 1985 queen.
