MARY MARGARET CARVER JUNIOR HIGH CHORAL BANQUET Springtime brings with it many fun events, but none is more outstanding than the banquet held for the chorus students. This year it was in the McNeese Room at the Ramada Inn and was sponsored by the Choral Boosters Club. Mary Margaret Carver was crowned Junior Miss Melody of 1965. Below she is shown after receiving the crown and bouquet. Below is Susie Johnston who was first runner-up in the Miss Melody competition. The girls were chosen by popular vote of the chorus members. BANQUET 1965 The Junior High boys winning awards in sports were Bobby Walsh, Wayne Miller and Glynn Trouille who are shown in the picture at the right. J. C. Picard and Tommy Fletcher were double winners in the field of sports. Picard not only won for best back, but also as the most valuable player. Fletcher added to his best fieldman trophy the honor of best all-around athlete. Kernie Briscoe won the athletic award from Western Heights and Mike Walsh took the honor for Westwood Elementary School.
