ATHLETIC MAY One of the big events of the spring season is the athletic banquet. A delicious meal was served and topped off with the thrill of seeing the boys receive their awards. At left is J. C. Picard -best back, Ricky Broussard - highest scholastic average, Henry O'Kelley - best lineman and James Cragar -player with the most desire to win. Charles Benoit took the honors as best trackman of the year and Tommy Fletcher copped the best fieldman trophy. Winning the award for best sportsmanship was Skippy Chisholm, best defensive player in basketball was taken by Jimmy Anderson and Butch Greenslade took the best offensive trophy.

BANQUET 1965 The Junior High boys winning awards in sports were Bobby Walsh, Wayne Miller and Glynn Trouille who are shown in the picture at the right. J. C. Picard and Tommy Fletcher were double winners in the field of sports. Picard not only won for best back, but also as the most valuable player. Fletcher added to his best fieldman trophy the honor of best all-around athlete. Kernie Briscoe won the athletic award from Western Heights and Mike Walsh took the honor for Westwood Elementary School.
