The annual staff proudly dedicates the edition of the 1962-63 Ram-ler to Mr. Maurice Burns, who has faithfully sponsored this yearbook for five years. He is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He also attended the University of Denver, Colorado, where he received his Master of Arts Degree. Mr. Burns has been a dedicated teacher for seven years at Westlake High School. Three years prior to teaching here, he taught at Marion High School. He has been responsible for seeing that many deserving people have received the honor of dedication. This year, the staff decided to go against his direction and honor him. This job has been done secretly, but sincerely. To Mr. Burns goes our deepest appreciation and respect. MR. M. A. Bums B. Just look how happy everybody gets when they get to be Senior Sponsors. This year's Senior Sponsors are Mrs. Pearle Hebert, Mr. Michael Beard and Mrs. Martha Crick. Sometimes these are referred to as cats, and we want you to know it’s because of their sharp dressing habits and not because of their Cheshire grins. HOMECOMING 1962 Queen of the 1962 Homecoming was Miss Gail Perkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Perkins. She was nominated by the football team and elected by the entire student body.
