Besides fine musical ability, the members have shown a great amount of school spirit and industriousness. They have done a commendable iob, and we hope to see them all in the future Senior bands of Westlake High. 24

A few years after leaving grade school, you come to a time called the Freshman year--the year of transition. You're not exactly iunior high in your interests, but you're not big enough for the varsity teams. The problem of deciding your future enters your life, asclasses become a matter of choice instead ofamatter of routine. lt's the end of your early, and perhaps more carefree, high school days, but the be- ginning of a many splendored experience in more grown-up living.
