CHe sold candy, earned brownie points, sang at hootenannies, paid dues, guided corridors, read the WESTHILL WORLD, and went to drive-ins, sit-ins, park-ins, Velasko-Inns, and love-insj. One fateful day, his student ID number C28384960493858493029382OOJ was reshuffled in the IBM machine, and mistaken for his PSAT scores. Immediately, Mrs. Reynolds spotted him as outstanding astronaut material. It wasn't long before he found himself at Cape Courtyard, the Westhill launch site. As we meet him he is in the midst of the final briefing session before blast-off. Let us now join him at the launch site of Warrior IV, the fourth in a series of launches from Westhill. fPrevious launches have lifted off the pad in '65, '66, and '67J. But helping Tim along his path have been a group of men and women of. . . Mrs. Marian Reynolds 9 . . . Dedication 0ur flight engineer and program counsellor has for the past six years, had to cope with many chal lenges created and perpetrated by us. She has been an understanding if sometimes hai ried listener and director of our futures, both i mediate and beyond - understanding of our some times astronomical aspirations, and harried by ou demands. We, the class of '68 and the staff of WARRIO '68, dedicate this missal to a dedicated person fo service to us as 'trainees' at Westhill and as astrcl nauts being launched into our careers. Fondly and gratefully we thank you, Mrs. Rey nolds, for favors and services past, present, ani future. 1 Mr. Bernie Parsons, Mr. Dominic Arcadi, Mrs. Shrank, Mr. Gustav Lukens. The ground crew of our launch program is a group of dedicated and willing Workers who rarely-if ever- et credit for all they do. As a sign of our appreciation for hours they spend undoing much that We have one in moments of forgetfulness, We also dedicate WARRIOR '68 to this group-the men who do the round work. For ajob well done-and for doing it with no fanfares save the knowledge of having done it-We thank the ustodians of our school. But Tim wasnit in this alone. He had at his disposal a faithful ground crew. Carol Cruickshank ' Secretary .... .... N ancy King Treasurer .... . . . Nancy Honis Our class of 1968 has proven its enthusiasm, leadership, athletic, and scholastic abilities throughout our six years at Westhill, both as a group and as individuals. The Junior High years marked the beginning of our unity as a class. In ninth grade we at last became a part of the Senior High, able to attend dances with upperclassmen. Sophomore year brought work on a Snow Carnival-perhaps the first of its kind to be cancelled because of too much snow. As Juniors, We comprised a larger part of our varsity teams than the Seniors and we were also well represented at the J r-Sr Cream War. Cherish' our prom, proved to be a great success. Mr. Dadey gave us the initial push into our Senior year and Miss Bauer worked continu- ously with us as the class picked up momentum. Again our athletes were a majority of the great varsity teams. We led in Student Council and various other activities in school and out of school. We strived to make our picnic, ball and banquet more original than any previous- ly. Senior privileges were extended and our senior lounge became a reality. lt seems such a short time ago that we stood as seventh graders, envying the freedoms and privileges of Seniors. This year we have tried to use these freedoms and privileges to build a spirit and leadership never before equalled at Westhill. As we leave now, We can only hope that we have left something to live up to. 5 MARK ALEXANDER There are some silent people who are more interesting than the best talkersf' FREDRICK ANNIS Don't value a man for the quality he is of, but for the quality he possesses?
